Taconnet On Great Pond, an exclusive, New England island destination, has appointed Jonathan Ball as Tennis Coordinator for the 2025 season. BeyondTheBaselines.com served as executive search agent for the exclusive club in Maine.

Taconnet, with a desire to rebuild its tennis programming, has an extremely strong raquets history. For years, former Taconnet owner and Hall of Famer, Lawrence Rice, headed up the program on Taconnet’s three clay courts.

The island of just twelve residences boasts some famous names as past seasonal professionals including Tim Mayotte and Rick Leach, both former top American players. 

Ball, former Director of Tennis at Wyantenuck Country Club in Great Barrington, MA and Junior Director at the famed Myopia Hunt Club, had more recently been involved in New York finance before moving seasonally to Maine and Florida.

“This is such a unique opportunity. I love Maine, having grown up there and am looking forward to creating a wonderful atmosphere and tennis program at Taconnet,” said Ball following the news of his hire.
