Arrowhead, a gated, luxury and on-mountain resort community in the Vail Valley, Colorado, has renewed and extended its partnership with management firm BeyondTheBaselines.com to direct Arrowhead’s racquet sports program through 2027.

“After a very successful initial year, Arrowhead’s board wanted to lock in our partnership with BeyondTheBaselines.com. The staff managing our facility was best-in-class. Both the staff and firm’s attention to detail was evident from the start and throughout the season,” said Mark Schacht, Arrowhead board member and chair of the Arrowhead Racquets Committee.

Arrowhead initially appointed BeyondTheBaselines.com, a subsidiary of SBW Associates, Inc., to manage its tennis and pickleball department and facilities in March 2024. Chris Nelson was hired as Director of Racquets and supervised a team of seven professionals and administrative staff members at the mountainside, gated community. Nelson will return this summer to the community located adjacent to Beaver Creek.

“We are really looking forward to continuing our work with Arrowhead,” said Ed Shanaphy, President of BeyondTheBaselines.com “There is so much planning to do with not just additional programming, but major construction projects,” said Shanaphy. One major project will see an expansion from six to eight pickleball courts slated for completion in June 2025. A long-term strategic plan is being formed for the next three to five years.

Arrowhead boasts a robust racquets program, with daily offerings of instruction, live ball programming and open play across both tennis and pickleball throughout the summer months. Nelson and the team have plans for expanded interclub play along with additional social and community programming both on and off the court.
